According to TMZ, Ingham reportedly only recently filed paperwork requesting that Bessemer be appointed as a co-conservator, which was approved, though the outlet reports that additional paperwork to make Bessemer’s role official has yet to be filed.
ngham had initially filed the motion to remove Jamie late last year, saying that Spears was “afraid of her father.” The motion was denied and he recently refiled. The star has also said she wouldn’t perform again until her father was no longer in control of her career.
In her 24-minute address to the court last week, the star claimed that her father “loved” the control that he held over her thanks to the “abusive” guardianship. Spears asked for her statements to a Los Angeles courtroom could be shared publicly.
“I shouldn’t be in a conservatorship if I can work and provide money and work for myself and pay other people,” Spears told Judge Brenda Penny. “It makes no sense.”

BRITNEY SPEARS’ DAD JAMIE UN RECOGNIZABLE AMID CONSERVATORSHIP BATTLE
Jamie Spears has been in control of his daughter’s $60 million fortune since 2008. Until 2019, attorney Andrew Wallet served as co-conservator until his resignation. Jamie temporarily handed power over to Spear’s care manager Jodi Montgomery that same year after he had a medical scare.
She also accused her conservators of preventing her from removing a contraceptive device.
I wanted to take the [IUD] out so I could start trying to have another baby,” she said. “But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children – any more children.”
She also asked that her conservatorship be terminated without psychiatric evaluation, alleging that she’d already undergone such tests multiple times and was even sent to “a small rehab program” in Beverly Hills that she said included working “seven days a week” while she was not allowed to “walk out the front door.”
The “Toxic” singer’s public statements sparked a public outcry of support for the “#FreeBritney” movement, which demands the pop star be released from the conservatorship.
Additionally, a handful of stars spoke out against her treatment including stars that she crossed paths with in the past such as Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
